My name is Neil Woodwards and I’ve been working within the digital field for quite some time. I specialize in photography and videography, as well as digital media and content creation. For me, nothing is more important than getting the message across through visual culture. Before I arrived at where I am today, I think it’s important to remember where I first started.
For as far back as I can remember, photography, videography, and content creation have been my real passion. I managed my own YouTube channel, freelanced with a number of different organizations as a contracting photographer and videographer, and traveled as much as I could to see more, do more, and live more.
Entirely self-taught and self-directed, I knew I wanted more. So, when a position opened up with the Silver Bullets, I was quick to jump on the opportunity. And in no time at all, I was thrust into a new role where I was tasked with managing all of their online content, which included everything from photography to videography – filming, producing, and editing. From there, I was approached by the Brisbane Bullets and was asked to assist them on a few current projects.
Seeing this as a new opportunity to prove myself, develop my skills, and further hone my craft, I knew I couldn’t let this one slip through the cracks. Eventually, I was offered a full-time role as a Digital Executive with the Bullets, while still being able to maintain my work with the Silver Bullets. And in no time at all, my role with each team grew exponentially.
Today, I’m proud to have the opportunity to build, manage, and further develop my digital team of employees who, like me, are looking to engage with the world around them through visual culture. I’ve been proud to implement change where I saw fit, and work as hard as I possibly can to put my knowledge into practice to ensure that our processes are fully optimized and as efficient as ever – because in a fast-moving world, staying on top of your game is always key – especially in the digital space.
Just Some More About Who I Am
When it comes to my mindset, I like to consider myself a self-starter. If I need to learn something, I go out and learn it. If I’m unsure of something, I’ll go out and find a solution. And if I’m not happy with a solution presented to me, I’ll work to find a new one.
When it comes to creating content and connecting with the millions of digital users, I work hard to provide interesting and engaging content that doesn’t just pique the interests of others, but it also immerses them in something entirely new. Through years of experience, I believe that taking risks and being bold in creativity is absolutely paramount to my practice. I love to be challenged; and for me, nothing is more important than facing those challenges with my dedicated team.
